J&K LCMA holds 129th BPA meeting; decides 93 cases on merits

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Lake Conservation & Management Authority on Tuesday held the 129th meeting of the Building Permission Authority under the chairmanship of Dr Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Vice Chairman, J&K-LCMA at Head Office Complex, LCMA, Miskeen Bagh, Khanyar Srinagar.

The J&K Lake Conservation & Management Authority has been vested powers under the Control of Building Operations Act, 1988 through Building Permission Authority, J&K LCMA.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary LCMA (member Secretary of BOCA), Joint Commissioner (P) SMC, Executive Engineer Lake Division 2nd LCMA, Executive Engineer Electric Inspection Division, Chief Town Planner, Enforcement Officer LCMA, and Law Officer, LCMA and representative of Tehsildar Khanyar and UEED as members of the Building Permission Authority.

The agenda for the meeting was discussed threadbare and a total of 93 cases were decided upon by the BPA on merits.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chairman J&K LCMA who is also the Chairman of BOCA has requested the people residing in the local jurisdiction of LCMA to apply online for proper building permission through its building permission authority, before starting any sort of Construction. Construction raised illegally shall be dealt with seriously under the law & will be demolished.
