Akhoon led Kargil delegation calls on Omar Abdullah

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party Vice President Omar Abdullah met a delegation of party functionaries from Kargil led by President Ladakh region Qamar Ali Akhoon at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar.

Provincial President Kashmir and In Charge Ladakh Nasir Aslam Wani, Political Advisor to Vice President Mudassar Shahmiri, and District President Kargil Haji Hanifa Jan were also present.

During the breadth of the meeting, the delegation apprised the Vice President about the underway preparations for the upcoming LAHDC, Kargil elections. The interactions on the occasion were also marked by threadbare discussions on organizational matters and various other issues concerning the public.

Omar exhorted the party functionaries to strongly pursue their mission and vision. “Party leaders must ensure their presence on the ground. The party cadre should remain dedicated and devoted to the party’s mission to see that Ladakh goes forward. Our party leaders and workers there should reach out to the masses and create awareness about the good work done by the party during the previous years and reinstate our commitment towards safeguarding land, job, culture and ecology of the area and again,” he said.
