Talks, terror cannot go together: BJP’s Rana on dialogue with Pak
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Nagrota: Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana today said that the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory has scripted a new growth story post-August 5, 2019, with the much-awaited peace and normalcy paving the way for overall inclusive development, and stability in the situation, dispensation responsive governance and percolation of benefits of various schemes to all, irrespective of religion, region, caste or ethnicity.

Interacting with various deputations from Nagrota Assembly Constituency here, he said that for the first time since independence, the people are enjoying the rights their counterparts cherished for over seven decades across the country, as these were made inaccessible for them by the self-styled champions of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Seeing the massive development taking place in a peaceful atmosphere, the exploitative politicians are unnerved and feeling uncomfortable,” he said, adding that the developmental process in Jammu and Kashmir has got a new impetus and dimension under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the past four years. Equitable share in the funds allocation to all the regions and the sub-regions remains a hallmark of the planning strategy of the double engine government, so as to fulfill the aspirations of every segment of the society.

Rana said that for the first the element of discrimination and appeasement have been overtaken by fair play in the governance in the true spirit of the Prime Minister’s cherished agenda of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Priyas. “As a result of focused attention, every pocket of Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing discernible transformation,” he said, and referred to changing the landscape both in urban and rural areas due to sustained efforts, as per the vision of the BJP leadership.

He exuded confidence that Jammu and Kashmir is going to be a key player in India’s growth story with the people of the Union Territory giving lasting peace a big chance. Peace and tranquility are crucially important for the development of any place across the world and this fact is being acknowledged by the people of Jammu and Kashmir, which is why they have rejected the cult of violence and culture of instability.

Responding to various issues highlighted by the deputationists, Devender Rana said he has taken up with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Singh the proposal pertaining to the Rs 50 crore sewerage project for the Nagrota town besides widening and upgradation of Jagti to Deva Mai Bamyal Road and development of Surinsar as a premier tourist destination.
