Srinagar: Anti-Corruption Bureau Thursday said it has arrested a government employee at Tehsil Office Khag while demanding and accepting bribe.
ACB said that Fayaz Ahmad Shora, Senior Assistant/ In-Charge Nazir, Tehsil Office Khag, was allegedly demanding bribe for listing a case of property dispute sooner in the court of Tehsildar concerned.
Acting on this complaint, a case was registered, following which a trap team caught the accused public servant red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹2000 from the complainant.
The money was recovered from the accused on spot, following which he was arrested, ACB said.
