New Delhi: India saw a single-day rise of new 52 coronavirus cases, while the active cases of the infection in the country stands at 1,464, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday.
The death toll due to the disease has been recorded at 5,31,916, the data updated at 8 am stated.
With the fresh cases, the total tally of Covid cases has been recorded at 4.49 crore (4,49,95,588)
The national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.81 percent, according to the health ministry website.
The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 4,44,62,208 while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.18 percent.
According to the ministry’s website, 220.67 crore doses of Covid vaccines have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive.
