Hazrat Rahim Sahib Sopori (r.a) remembered after 63 years in Sopore

Sopore: Yoom-e-Shahanshah Hazrat Rahim Sahib Sopori (r.a), was held today at Dak Bungalow Sopore, where hundreds of people gathered to honor the renowned Sufi poet after 63 years. 

The program, organized by various esteemed organizations including Kashmir Gulukaar Society, Hayatun Nabi (saw) Sufiya Movement, GG Productions, Intizamiya Committee Rahim Sahib Sopori in collaboration with JK Academy of Art Culture and Languages, Young Sufi Gulokar Association, District Administration, and Police, captivated the hearts of all attendees.

The esteemed program coordinator, Zaffar Ahmad Bhat, Chairman Haytun Nabi(saw) Sufiya Movement, expressed the primary objective behind organizing this event, which is to revive Sufism in Kashmir, the very essence that underpins our culture. 

One of the distinguished guests present at the Mehfil-e-Sama was Ustaad Gulzar Ahmad Ganai, a celebrated Sufi singer and Chairman of GG Productions. Ganai graced the occasion with his soul-stirring voice and music, adding a touch of transcendence to the atmosphere. Accompanying him were Rouf Qadri and Shahzad Manzoor, and prominent social activist Shariq Maqbool further elevated the program with their presence and contributions.

The people of Sopore conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the organizers for arranging such a remarkable event in commemoration of Rahim Sahib Sopori. His invaluable contributions to Kashmiri Sufi poetry remain indelible, and his work holds a special place in the hearts of the people. 

The event served as a reminder of the rich artistic and spiritual heritage of Kashmir, and the participants expressed their commitment to preserving and promoting Sufism in the region. The collaborative efforts of the organizing committee and the support from the JK Academy of Art Culture and Languages, the Young Sufi Gulokar Association, the District Administration, and the Police were instrumental in making this event a resounding success.
