Youth drowns to death in Kupwara

Ganderbal: A teenage boy, who was on a picnic with his school, drowned to death in a Sindh River in Sonamarg area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the boy, a student of Public School Baramulla, was on picnic when the incident took place.

He said that the boy was immediately taken to PHC Sonamarg, where doctor pronounced him dead.

The boy has been identified as Shoaib Farooq Chachi (14) son of Farooq Ahmad Chachi of Baramulla.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident—(KNO)
