While speaking on the occasion, Syed Shahezadi said that 15 point programme is an attempt to uplift the livelihood of minorities by ensuring that the underprivileged and weaker sections of six centrally notified minority communities enjoy equal opportunities for growth and development.

The programme will ensure these minorities could avail the benefit of various government welfare schemes and contribute towards the overall socio-economic development of the country.

She said the government was committed to implementing the Prime Minister’s new 15-point programme for the welfare of minorities. She added that proactive steps need to be taken in this regard and any direction in this regard won’t be tolerated.

Emphasizing that minorities shall be provided with every kind of support, she said that better facilities for transport, health, education, and other areas would be provided to them. She also emphasized the need to focus on women’s development schemes ensuring an appropriate share for them in infrastructure development schemes.
