2nd Inter-College Volleyball & Table Tennis Tournament-2023 concludes at GCoE IASE Srinagar

SRINAGAR: The 2nd Inter-College Volleyball and Table Tennis Tournament (Men/Women) 2023 organized by the Department of Physical Education, Govt. College of Education (IASE) M.A Road Srinagar concluded today here.

In Volleyball Men, 11 teams participated and the final was played between GCOE (IASE) M.A Road Srinagar and AAA Memorial Degree College Bemina in which AAA Memorial Degree College Bemina emerged as the winner.

In Volleyball Women, 8 teams participated and the final was played between SP College Srinagar and GCW M.A Road Srinagar in which GCW M.A Road Srinagar won the finals.

In Table Tennis Men, 10 teams participated and the final was played between AAA Memorial Degree College Bemina and Gandhi Memorial College, where AAA Memorial Degree College Bemina emerged as the winner.

In Table Tennis Women, 10 teams participated and the final was played between GCOE (IASE) M.A Road Srinagar and Islamia College of Science and Commerce Srinagar in which GCOE (IASE) M.A Road Srinagar emerged as the winner.

The prize distribution ceremony was conducted in Multipurpose Hall where Principal Prof. Dr. Seema Naz was the chief guest. The Sports Committee of the institution and PTIs from participating institutions were also a part of the prize distribution ceremony.

The Principal distributed trophies and medals among the players of both runners-up and winners of Volleyball Men/ Women and Table Tennis Men/ Women tournaments.

She impressed upon all the players that sports is an important aspect of our life and one should always be linked with it. She said that winning and losing is not as important as participation.

Dr. Bilal Ahmad Malla and Mrs. Daljeet Kour from Physical Education Department presented a memento to the chief guest.
