Brig KS Kalsi inaugurates Special National Integration Camp

Srinagar: The “Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat” Special National Integration Camp Srinagar 2023 was inaugurated today by Brig KS Kalsi Group Commander NCC Group Srinagar.

“The program commenced with a simple but solemn ceremony at the Sarvdharm Sthal of the JAK Li Regimental Centre at Rangreth Army Camp and culminated with the lighting up of the Lamp of Unity by cadets from each of the 16 participating NCC directorates dressed in their traditional attire,” said PRO (Defence) Srinagar.

“In his opening remarks, Brig KS Kalsi welcomed the cadets coming from each state and UT of the country to Srinagar and gave them an insight into the various activities planned over the next 11 days,” the PRO said.

“During the camp, the cultural song and dance events will be presented by each Directorate however to foster the spirit of Integration few events in the camp like sports and Quizzes have been planned with amalgamated teams of two states which will help in better understanding among cadets from different directorates. 

He urged the cadets to spend maximum time with cadets from all other directorates and learn from them to achieve the aim of Unity in Diversity,” he said.

“Later, the cadets were given a detailed insightful lecture presentation by Prof Tafazul Hussain and Dr Zubair Naseer on the history culture arts, handicrafts, and food habits of Jammu and Kashmir. The lectures were extremely well-researched lucidly presented and profusely appreciated by all the attendees,” the PRO said.

“Brigadier Nischal Sood, Brig Training from HQ DG NCC was also present on the occasion, he extended the greetings of DGNCC and apprised the cadets about the latest initiatives planned for imparting skill trg to the cadets,” he added.
