Peace is imperative for sustained prosperity, dev in J&K: Ghulam Hassan Mir

Srinagar: Apni Party Senior Vice President and former cabinet minister Ghulam Hassan Mir has said that a peaceful environment in Jammu and Kashmir is a primary requirement for sustained prosperity and development in the region. 

He urged people to have a positive mindset in order to ensure the resolution of the issues here.

He made these comments while addressing a public meeting at the Devbug area of north Kashmir’s Kunzar Tangmarg on Sunday.

The prominent participants of the meeting included DDC Kunzar Sheikh Nazir Ahmad, BDC Kunzar Aftab Beigh, Irfan Ahmad Tantray, Apni Party’s District Vice President Mohammad Assadullah, Abdul Majeed Khanday, Ghulam Mohammad Malik, Habibullah Khanday, Mohammad Latief, Abdul Aziz Tantray, Abdul Aziz Sheikh, and others.

According to a press note issued here, the meeting was convened to identify the pressing public issues that the local people are facing.

On this occasion, Ghulam Hassan Mir urged people to contribute their efforts for sustained peace in Jammu and Kashmir.

“For enduring prosperity and development in J&K, it is imperative that we actively work towards establishing lasting peace here. By fostering a peaceful environment and promoting harmony, we can attain everything significant for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Peace and harmony hold the key to obtaining economic upliftment, which will eventually empower the people both economically and politically,” he said.

The meeting attendees appraised Mir about certain pressing public issues and grievances. He gave a patient hearing to the people and assured them that he would bring these matters to the notice of concerned officials to ensure a swift resolution of these issues. The participants shared their views and visions about the prospect of development in the area.
