ALC Office Srinagar distributes Rs 9.64 lacs among beneficiaries

SRINAGAR: Reaching out to the beneficiaries, the Office of Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) Srinagar has in the month of May-2023 distributed an amount of Rs.9,64,440 in favour of 14 beneficiaries as Education, Chronic and Death Assistance under different Labour Laws/Schemes.

In addition, the Labour Court (ALC Srinagar) has awarded Rs.1,89, 57,667 in 19 cases of the Payment of Gratuity Act, which were being under hearing in past months in the Labour Court of Assistant Labour Commissioner Srinagar.

The Assistant Labour Commissioner Srinagar in his message to his employees expected that his qualified, experienced & dedicated employees will carry their work at the same speed in future and also take the department to new heights

Meanwhile, during May month the Labour Officers and Labour Inspectors on the directions of ALC Srinagar visited different offices, Malls, Companies, business units, Public gatherings and establishments and conducted on-spot inspections under the different Labour Laws and also recovered huge revenue from the defaulters under the various acts.
