Dr Samoon distributes job offer letters among ITI pass-outs

JAMMU: Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, today distributed job offer letters among pass-outs from various government ITIs.

Pertinently, the ‘Staffing Solutions Quess Corporation Limited’ has selected eight candidates as “Trainees” with their company from different ITIs in various trades.

“Skill Development Department is committed to exploring job opportunities for its ITI pass-out candidates with an emphasis on conducting placement drives for providing them job opportunities in different sectors,” Dr Samoon maintained.

Dr Samoon congratulated the selected students with the hope that they will perform their job with utmost devotion and sincerity. He expressed gratitude to the company for providing job opportunities to ITI students.

He impressed upon the students to participate in various placement drives with enthusiasm and make full use of their professional and technical skills for employability to various organizations.

Director Skill Development Department, Sudershan Kumar, was also present on the occasion.

Earlier, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon convened a meeting of Visiting/Village Prabhari Officers of the Skill Development Department under B2V4.

Among others, MD, Skill Development Mission, Leena Padha; Special Secretary, SDD, Mohammad Ashraf Mir; besides, Visiting/Village Prabhari Officers of the SDD Department attended the meeting through virtual mode.

Principal Secretary instructed the officers to keep proper follow-up of the pending issues of Panchayats with the concerned authorities for redressal. He also asked them to ensure that panchayat level meetings are organized every first Monday of the month, in which all village level officers take part besides the virtual participation of Village Prabhari Officers.

Principal Secretary also asked the officers to ensure that village development plans are fully integrated with the district and Capex budgets and other Centrally Sponsored Schemes across the departments. He also asked them to keep regular monitoring over 101 deliverables of different departments

The participating officers also briefed the Principal Secretary about action taken on various issues and problems highlighted during B2V4.
