SRINAGAR: As part of the Para-sports week celebration w.e.f 02 May 2023 organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports (DYS&S) Srinagar, specially-abled persons participated in Volleyball, Chess, Carrom, and recreational games at Abhinandan Home, Solina Srinagar.
More than 150 students participated in different sports events.
The week-long activities for specially-abled persons are being conducted on the directions of the Joint Director of Youth Services and Sports Kashmir with an aim to involve such communities to boost their morale.
The students were seen very enthusiastic during the participation and the administration of the school has applauded the efforts taken by the sports department.
The initiative has been taken to engage these specially-abled persons in different sports activities to provide them with a platform to showcase their talent.
The activities are being conducted by the Zonal Physical Education officers of Zone Batamaloo and Amirakadal.
