Director Agri inaugurates two Hi-tech Poly houses at Narkara Budgam

SRINAGAR: The Director of Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad today inaugurated two hi-tech polyhouses at Narkara Budgam. He also visited adjacent areas of Narkara and took stock of the Agriculture scenario in the area.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director of Agriculture highlighted the importance of Hi-tech poly houses and said that to explore the potential in the vegetable sector hi-tech polyhouses can play a big role.

He said that the department has established hi-tech polyhouses in all the districts of Kashmir division in order to ensure round the year availability of seedlings of different vegetable crops to the farming community of the division.

The Director of Agriculture also held interaction with the farmers of different areas and took feedback from them regarding the implementation of different schemes and programmes in the district.

Amid prevailing weather conditions Director of Agriculture said that special advisories are being issued by the department so that the precautionary measures could be ensured by the concerned farmers. He directed the officers/field staff to work in close coordination with the farming community.

Deputy Director of Agriculture Planning Mohammad Younis Chowdhury and some other officers were present on the occasion.
