Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar has said that NC will again emerge as the savior of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
He, according to the NC spokesperson, said this on the sidelines of the event while welcoming People’s Conference Executive member and BDC Chairman Mohammad Maqbool Bhat of Keegam Kupwara.
The joining was organised by senior party leader Choudhary Mohammad Ramzaan. Party leaders Imran Nabi Dar, Showkat Mir, Sabiya Qadri, JS Azad, GN Bhat also welcomed him into the party fold.
Sagar said that NC will continue with its fight with the unprecedented array of challenges to the J&K people’s honor and dignity. “The present administration has turned out to be a complete nightmare for the people of the region. People understand the significance of a stable popular government, especially in Jammu and Kashmir which is confronted with problems of varied nature. The region is again at a critical stage of its history, which demands a formidable force like NC to take on the reins of power to salvage the region from the vortex it’s caught in. We have long been shaping the path of development in J&K, which made the poorest of the poor, the masters of their own destiny,” he said.
“There is no substitute to NC, ours is the only political force which is trusted by people. Our work in terms of poverty alleviation, free education, land to the tiller, single line administration, Panchayati Raj speaks for it. Our ideology is wedded to the people, particularly poor workers, marginal traders, artisans, hawkers, small agriculturalists, and socially deprived sections of our society. It will remain so,” he added.
