Two accused involved in kidnapping of  minor girls arrested in Baramulla

Baramulla: Two boys accused of kidnapping two minor girls have been arrested in Narvaw area Baramulla district of North Kashmir.
Station House Officer Sheeri Waseem Jahangir said that Abdul Rehman Beigh son Abdul Rahim Beigh today approached police station Sheeri and lodged a complaint alleging that his two daughters ( identity withheld)  aged 14 and 15 years, were kidnapped by Mohd Aqib Dar and Rayees Ahmad Lone, both residents of Pehliharan.
Acting swiftly on the complaint, a case under FIR No. 38/2023 U/S 363, 376, 506 IPC was registered in Police Station Sheeri and, he said, adding that the police acting promptly arrested both the accused and rescued the minor girls while the victims were safely handed over to their legal heirs after completing all necessary legal formalities, and the accused are currently in police custody.
Baramulla Police has expressed its strong commitment to ensure that the accused face the full extent of the law for their heinous acts under POSCO Act. They are conducting further investigations into the case to ensure that justice is served, he said.
“We urge citizens to remain vigilant and report any such incidents to the police promptly to prevent similar occurrences in the future,” he said.
Baramulla Police have demonstrated their unwavering commitment to protecting citizens and bringing the guilty to justice.
