Srinagar: Army Recruiting Office Srinagar has reported the successful completion of the first-ever online entrance examination for recruitment in the Indian Army, held all over the country.

“In the Kashmir division of UT of J&K, the exams were held in two centres in Budgam district, one center in Baramulla district and nine centers in Srinagar district. In UT of Ladakh, the exams were held at Leh and Kargil,” the PRO said.

“Over 6000 candidates from Kashmir and Ladakh including female candidates appeared in the exams spread over a week. Many of the candidates from remote areas acknowledged that the new system was a boon in terms of savings of time and effort in comparison to the old system of exams. The result of the first-ever online entrance exam is expected to be announced online by mid-May 2023,” he said.

“During the exam, the candidates were also briefed by Army Recruiting Office Srinagar about the documents required for the next phase of the recruitment rally scheduled to be held at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar in Jun 2023,” he added.
