Srinagar: The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Baramulla on Monday presented a chargesheet in a terror-related case before the court of Addl. Sessions Judge (NIA Court) Baramulla, a police spokesman said.

“Continuing its action against the terror elements, Special Investigation Unit Baramulla presented chargesheet of case FIR No. 40/2022 under section 3.I.A Act 13,16,18,18-B,38 UAP Act of Police Station Sheeri before the Hon’ble court of Addl. Sessions Judge (NIA Court) Baramulla,” the spokesman said.

He said the case pertains to the arrest of a terrorist Nisar Ahmad Bhat in Wasran Taripora forests who along with other terrorists was preparing to carry out terrorist activities. He was arrested by joint team of Police, 52RR, 46RR & 53Bn CRPF during a cordon and search operation.

“The chargesheet was presented against the accused terrorist Nisar Ahmad son of Mohd Akbar resident of Shrakwara presently lodged in District Jail Baramulla and accused Hilal Ahmad Sheikh (dead) in abate. However, investigation in respect of accused terrorists Usman alias Usman Bai and Ali Sajad alias Sajad Bai, both residents of Pakistan shall continue,” said the spokesman.
