Dulloo reviews preparedness plan for Rabi season in Jammu

JAMMU: Additional Chief Secretary Agriculture Production Department (APD), Atal Dulloo, today chaired a meeting to review the promotion campaign to be launched for raising awareness on Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the Union Territory here at Civil Secretariat.

The meeting was attended by Director General Sericulture, Director General, Sheep Husbandry, Kashmir, Director Finance, APD, Director Animal Husbandry, Jammu and Kashmir, Director Horticulture Jammu and Kashmir, Director Horticulture, Planning and Marketing, Managing Director JKHPMC, Mission Director, HADP and other concerned officials in person and through online mode.

The technical experts displayed a PowerPoint Presentation highlighting various aspects of the promotion campaign of the scheme. They said that a comprehensive set of incentives need to be executed to take the message to every farmer of JKUT.

ACS stated that the motive of this promotion campaign is to create awareness about various programmes run by JKUT and the Centre governments for the benefit of farmers under HADP. The campaign will also highlight the activities and achievements under various flagship schemes like Kisan Credit Card, National Agriculture Market (e-NAM), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Soil Health Card, Organic and Natural Farming, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana besides other flagship programmes, he added.

Dulloo further informed that there will be exclusive interactive sessions between the field experts and the farmers during the campaign.

The ACS further apprised that a helpdesk will be established to clarify all queries of farmers related to the 29 projects under HADP. The help desk will function as an offline and online channel.
