Two burglars held in Baramulla

Srinagar: Police have solved a burglary case by arresting two persons in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered stolen property from their possession, officials said.

They said acting on a complaint of theft at the house of one Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh, son of Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh at Tantraypora Palhallan, Pattan,  police after registering a case under relevant sections of law, zeroed in on some suspects.

One among them — Khursheed Ahmad Waza, son of Ghulam Mohammad Waza of Tantraypora Palhallan confessed that he along with other accomplice Tanveer Ahmad Reshi, son of Ghulam Mohammad Reshi of New Colony Palpora Pattan, have committed the theft, police spokesperson said.

Subsequently, the other accused Tanveer Ahmad was also arrested, and on their disclosure, stolen property was recovered from their possession. They have been shifted to a police station where they remain in custody, the spokesperson said.
