JAMMU: A delegation of outstanding sportspersons from J&K called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan today.

Chandeep Singh, International Para Taekwondo Medallist; Danish Sharma, International Judo player & Coach and Appu Jamwal, Wushu National medallist while calling on the Lt Governor discussed with him the implementation of J&K Sports policy.

The Lt Governor assured the outstanding sportspersons that the Jammu Kashmir Government is committed to safeguarding the interests and promoting the welfare of the Sportspersons through the J&K Sports Policy 2022.

Meanwhile, a delegation of S.O.S International, an organization for POJK Displaced Persons, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan.

The members of the delegation led by its chairman, Rajiv Chuni expressed gratitude to the Lt Governor on behalf of the whole PoJK Displaced community for the welfare initiatives launched by the UT administration for the displaced persons.

They also submitted a memorandum containing various issues of PoJK displaced persons including the complete implementation of ‘PM Central Assistance Scheme for PoJK DPs’ and the armed forces recruitment drive for the youth of the PoJK displaced community.

The Lt Governor gave patient listening to the members of the delegation and assured them that the issues presented by them would be looked into earnestly for its redressal.
