Justice Sunil Hali appointed Chairperson of Fee Fixation Committee

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed Justice (retd.) Sunil Hali as Chairperson of the Committee for Fixation, Determination and Regulation of Fee of Private Schools.

As per an order issued by Principal Secretary School Education Department (SED) Alok Kumar, the appointment has been made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 20-A of the Jammu and Kashmir School Education Act, 2002, read with Jammu and Kashmir Private Schools (Fixation Determination and Regulation of Fee) Rules, 2022.

The appointment has been made for a term of three years from the date on which he assumes office.

“The term of office and other conditions of service of the Chairperson shall be governed by the Jammu and Kashmir Private Schools (Fixation, Determination and Regulation of Fee) Rules, 2022,” the order read.

Notably, the appointment of the Chairman of the Fee Committee comes four months after the Fee Committee was rendered headless after the tenure of its former chairman ended on November 13 of 2022.

The government on November 09, 2020, had appointed Justice (retd.) Muzaffar Hussain Attar was Chairman FFRC for a period of two years.
