New Delhi: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Member of the Parliament from Anantnag Hasnain Masoodi urged GOI to immediately address the grievances of daily-wage workers by fast-tracking their regularization and absorbing them as permanent employees in the respective departments.
While speaking on the matter under Rule 377 Masoodi said, “The plight of more than 60 thousand contractual workers, CPW, HDF workers, ad-hoc workers, CIC operators, home guards, Teachers of Tribal seasons School, Contractual Health workers and Asha workers is worth noting. They have been working hard non-stop for decades in different departments of J&K.”
He further said, “their constant protests over the last several months have remained unheard. They are demanding regularization and an increase in salaries as per Minimum Wages Act. It’s high time that their demands are met.”
