3 drug-peddlers arrested
Srinagar: Police on Friday said they have arrested three drug-peddlers and recovered psychotropic substances from his possession.
In Parigam Kulgam 13 Codeine Phosphate bottles were recovered from the possession of Javid Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Akbar Bhat of Arwani. He has been arrested and shifted to a police station where he remains in custody.
Two drug-peddlers — Bilal Ahmad Ganie, son of Abdul Gaffar Ganie of Trikanjan Boniyar, and Siraj-ud-Din Mir, son of Fareed Ahmad Mir of Adipora Sopore — were arrested during naka checking at Lari Boniyar in Uri after 13 grams of heroin and 60 grams of cannabis-like substance was recovered from their possession.
Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations in all these instances and further investigation initiated, police said.
