Police organize road race in Pampore

Srinagar: Under the aegis of the Civic Action Programme, Police District Awantipora organized a road race in Pampore in which youth of Sub-Division Pampore participated.
The event was flagged off by SSP Awantipora Ajaz Ahmed Zargar.
SDPO Pampore, SHO Pampore, SHO Khrew and other Police Officers were present on the occasion.
The race started from Dusso up to Govt Degree College Pampore.
SSP Awantipora while interacting with the participants said that everyone should take part in sports activities as it helps to boost their Self Confidence, Concentration, and Physical as well as Mental Health. He said that students/youth should make optimum use of sports and channelize their energy in the right direction through sports activities.
He also stressed upon the youth/students to organize anti-drug campaigns in their respective areas to save society from the drug menace.
During the closing ceremony, SSP Awantipora distributes cash prizes/ certificates among the first 10 winners of the event and participation certificates among all the participants.
