Hunted by death, neglected by authorities, PDD workers have nowhere to go

Justice (Retd.) Hasnain Masoodi National Conference (NC) leader, Member of Parliament (MP)

FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Member of the Parliament from Anantnag addressed a series of workers’ meetings at Shopian, Kulgam, Anantnag, and Pulwama.

Following the public interactions, Masoodi addressed the press and said that Jammu and Kashmir has become testing laboratory for the ill-conceived decisions of the government. “Far from delivering on its promises, the BJP has pushed the entire region into chaos. The disdain it nurtures for democracy is also not hidden from anybody. People have lately come to understand that BJP’s so-called development agenda was a lie to hide their real ploy which was to strip people of their rights. With their political shenanigans, BJP has plunged the entire region into chaos, and uncertainty.”

He further said that the NC MPs have been airing public issues in Lok Sabha with a sense of commitment to our people. “Be it the imposition of property tax, exorbitant increase in the rate of power tariff, scathing unemployment, and ordeals faced by our traders and horticulturalists. We have magnified people’s voices and raised them inside and outside the parliament. And we will continue to do so,” he said.
