Selection trials for admission to KISC in Rowing kickstart from Baramulla

BARAMULLA: The open selection trials for admission to Centre of Excellence KISC, Rowing, kick-started from district Baramulla in Kashmir division today.

The trials were held in Sports Stadium Baramulla successfully wherein 178 players including both boys and girls from the district and its adjacent areas participated.

Prospective rowers were tested in Khelo India specified tests including motor ability and sports-specific skills by the KISCE Rowing Officials under the supervision of the monitoring committee headed by Joint Secretary, Bashir Ahmad Bhat.

The selection trials shall continue in other districts also and selected candidates will be trained under a residential scheme with state of art infrastructure under the tutelage of high-performance coaches and experts at Sports Council Water Sports Centre, Nehru Park Srinagar.
