Meets public, workers' delegations at Nawa-e-Subha

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal accused the government of its failure to troubleshoot problems faced by the people on a day-to-day basis.

This he, according to the NC spokesperson, said while echoing the sentiments of a number of public and workers delegations that called on him here at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar.

The delegations complained of shortage in ration depots, with weaker sections finding it difficult to procure essentials like rice, flour, and sugar. They said that the insensitive approach of the government is compelling them to fetch essentials from private shops at exorbitant rates.

Interacting with the delegations, Dr. Kamal said that the party leadership was well aware of the situation. He said that the party functionaries and MPs keep on raising such issues at all appropriate forums including the Lok Sabha. He assured them that the party will continue to shoulder people’s worries.

Peer Afaq Ahmed, Ahsan Pardesi, Er. Sabiya Qadri, Dr Syed, Qaisar Jalali others were also present on the occasion.
