Srinagar: The three-day Union Territory (UT) Winter Games Championship which was conducted by the Winter Games Association of J&K (WGAJK) concluded here at Gulmarg on Thursday.The events that were held during the Championship included Snowboarding and Skiing in the Slalom and Giant Slalom categories. The age group that participated in the Championship was senior men & women (J1 and J2, C1 and C2).
Pertinently, all districts of Kashmir participated in the Championship. The Assistant Director Department of Tourism, Dr Javaid ul Rehman, attended the concluding award ceremony as a chief guest. He appreciated all the participants for making the championship a grand success through their performance.
The ceremony was also attended by WGAJK President Rauf Tramboo, Founding member AR Dar, Patron in Chief and former President of WGAJK Abbas Wani and other members of the Association were also present on the occasion.
The award ceremony was held on the slopes immediately after the culmination of the races and the declaration of results.
