Atal Dulloo chairs SLEC meeting of MIDH

jAMMU: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department (APD), Atal Dulloo today chaired a meeting of the State Level Executive Committee (SLEC) of the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) at Civil Secretariat here. 

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on different sectors and components under the MIDH scheme including approval of the annual Action Plan for the financial year 2023-24 under the scheme.

Speaking during the meeting, Atal Dulloo directed the concerned officers to include the Saffron mission in the proposed MIDH Action Plan. He also directed the officers to include the component of floriculture development in MIDH.

The ACS also sought the opinions of the officers present in the meeting for better and more effective implementation of the MIDH Action Plan on the ground across Jammu and Kashmir.

During the meeting, Director Horticulture Kashmir who is also Mission Director MIDH, through a PowerPoint presentation apprised the meeting about the proposed action plan and activities to be done under MIDH for the overall growth of the Horticulture sector in Jammu and Kashmir.

During the meeting, the SLEC gave approval for the submission of the annual Action Plan for the financial year 2023- 24 to the Union Government for sanction.

The meeting was attended by Director Agriculture Jammu/Kashmir; Director Horticulture Jammu/Kashmir, Director Floriculture Jammu/Kashmir, Director Horticulture PM, J&K, the representative of the Industry and Commerce Department, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, Finance Department, Cooperative Department, and Representative of Ministry of Agriculture and Family Welfare and other concerns officials. Kashmir-based and outstation officers attended the meeting by video conferencing.
