JAMMU: Apni Party President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari today said that the authorities have failed to provide basic amenities in Chenab Valley.

Addressing a meeting of party leaders and workers here in Jammu, Altaf Bukhari said that “No one in administration gives heed to the growing public issues with regard to basic amenities in rural areas of Chenab Valley.”

“The road connectivity is very poor, supply of clean drinking water in the remote areas is still a distant dream and the unscheduled power cuts have further added to the suffering of the rural population,” he said addressing a meeting which was organized by Provincial President, Legal Cell, Vikram Rathore.

The meeting was also attended by a large number of people from Bhaderwah. During this meeting, dozens of people joined the Apni Party in the presence of Altaf Bukhari sahab.

Bukhari welcomed the new entrants into the party and hoped that their joining would strengthen the party in Bhaderwah.

He listened to the issues of the people belonging to Bhaderwah and other parts of Doda district and assured them all possible support for the redressal of public issues.

“Equitable development is possible in all the regions of J&K when there is an elected Govt in place of a bureaucratic rule. The bureaucratic rule is not answerable to the people of J&K, but an elected Govt is answerable to the people,” Bukhari said.

“The democratically elected Govt is able to pull up the bureaucracy to ensure the development and implementation of public welfare schemes on ground even in remote and far-flung villages of Jammu and Kashmir irrespective of any kind of disparity,” he said.

He further said that the people have lost their faith in the LG administration. “Therefore, holding of assembly elections and restoration of statehood is necessary to restore the lost faith of the people.”

“We believe that the people of all the regions should be treated equally irrespective of caste, creed, region, or religion. Our motive is to bring equitable development, peace, and development into the society. Also to bring people of two regions together for peace and prosperity of J&K,” he said.

Referring to the issue of unprecedented unemployment, underdevelopment, poor health, and educational infrastructure, he said, “J&K can witness prosperity when the people of two regions will be treated equally and a peaceful atmosphere is provided to them. The Apni Party believes in telling the truth to the people. We are committed to the public welfare and our aim is to keep J&K united.”

Meanwhile, he appreciated the party leaders and workers for their dedication and work in the society due to which people in large numbers have joined Apni Party from across the Jammu Region

While speaking on the occasion, Altaf Bukhari announced Anil Kumar, Apni Party leader, as District President of District Doda to strengthen the organizational structure at the ground level.

Besides, the Provincial President, Jammu, S. Manjit Singh also spoke on the issue and said that the people have pinned their hopes on the Apni Party as traditional political parties have failed to address their issues.

“The traditional political parties have exploited the emotions of the people, but the Apni Party wants to bring positive changes in J&K for the welfare of the people,” he said.

Apni Party senior leader and former MLA from Rajouri, Choudhary Qamar Ali was among the prominent leaders who attended the meeting.
