Srinagar: Police in Pulwama have arrested ten absconders who were evading their arrest from the last two decades, a police spokesman informed Wednesday.

He said police in Pulwama constituted a special team which after strenuous efforts was able to arrest 10 absconders who were evading their arrest from the last two decades.

These absconders are involved in heinous cases, police spokesman said while identifying the arrested people as Manzoor Ganai, son of Abdullah Ganai; Bashir Ganai, son of Abdul Ahad;  Aziz Bakshi, son of Nabir Bakshi; Gulzar Sheikh, son of Mohda Sheikh; Mushtaq Ahmed Lone, son of Abdullah Lone, all residents of Drabgam Rajpora; Javied Ahmad Shah, son of Ghulam Mohammad Shah of Bagat Barzullah, at present Dangerpora Nowgam; Abdul Hamid Parray, son of Ghulam Ahmad Parray of Panditpora Ballah Tangmarg; Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat of Jagir Parigam; Abdul Hamid Bhat, son of Wali Mohammad Bhat of Tenpuna Pulwama, and Mohammad Afzal Malik, son of Abdul Rahim Malik, resident of Ugergund Newa.

All the arrested absconders have been produced before court, police said.
