Aries Chelamin receives All India First BIS Certification

Hyderabad: The Bureau of Indian Stanadards (BIS) has presented the All India First ISI Mark for Chelated Zinc to ARIES CHELAMIN, the flagship brand of Aries Agro Limited, India’s largest and most respected micronutrient and specialty fertilizer manufacturer.

“Since 1969, Aries has been at the forefront of providing best-in-class specialty fertilizers that are cost-effective and customized for the needs of soils and crops of India. Aries Chelamin, Chelated Zinc, was the brand that pioneered Chelation technology in India and it is indeed a proud moment for us to receive the first ISI Mark for our flagship product that has been used by several million Aries farmers,” said Dr Rahul Mirchandani, Chairman and Managing Director, Aries Agro Limited.

“Our manufacturing facilities adhere to the most stringent ISO and FCO norms and the Bureau of Indian Standards awarding us with the All India first ISI Mark for Chelated Zinc is another testament to our exemplary and exacting quality management systems,” he added.

Over 200 industry stakeholders, Government officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Fertilizers and representatives from Dealer Associations and progressive farmers attended the Felicitation Ceremony conducted by the Bureau of Indian Standards at the FTCCI Auditorium, Hyderabad.

With the proliferation of several brands providing agricultural inputs to farmers, it is essential that Indian farmers have the assurance of quality. “To distinguish itself as an Indian manufactured brand meeting the stringent quality control parameters, Aries Agro Limited opted for voluntary certification of its Chelated Zinc Brand. Seeing the ISI mark, farmers will be reassured of the superior quality of products that they are utilizing on their fields,” Said Jayapradeep Subramanian, Senior Vice President – Marketing (South India).

While felicitating Aries Agro Limited, K V Rao, Senior Director & Head, Bureau of Indian Standards- Hyderabad Branch, mentioned, “Aries Agro Limited has distinguished itself over the past 5 decades. The event which was also live streamed across India had the Commissioner of Agriculture, Joint Director of Agriculture, Quality Control Officers of the Agriculture department, Marketing Agencies, Dealers and Distributors, Scientists and Researchers, Agriculture department Extension officers, Farmers, and Aries Sales, Marketing, Research, Quality and Manufacturing teams in attendance.
