Two Poland skiers confirmed dead after snow avalanche in Gulmarg

Baramulla: Two skiers from Poland died while one another tourist escaped unhurt after massive snow avalanche hit Hapath Khud at Afarwat peak in world famous ski-resort Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Officials said that wo bodies have been recovered so far. “They are from Poland while another tourist has a miraculous escape,” they said.

Meanwhile, a large-scale rescue operation has been launched at the site.

Rescue operation has been launched by Baramulla Police along with other agencies.
