Dr Samoon inaugurates dev works at Kashmir Govt Polytechnic Gogjibagh

SRINAGAR: Principal Secretary Skill Development Department, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, today inaugurated the Sports activity hall, Computer Laboratory, renovated Leather Technology Workshop, and wood Technology Workshop at Kashmir Government Polytechnic during his visit to the Institute.

Principal Secretary appreciated the establishment of this Computer Laboratory with the latest LAN networking and CCTV surveillance.

While inaugurating the renovated leather technology laboratory, Dr. Samoon lauded the efforts of the Principal and the faculty for restoring the flood-hit leather machinery. He laid emphasis on the full utilization of this machinery for the practical training of students. He said that Leather Technology has huge potential in the market which needs to be exploited.

While inaugurating the indoor sports hall, Principal Secretary expressed happiness that sports activities are being given a boost which will go a long way in building the overall personality of students.

On the occasion, the students of the institution presented a cultural programme.

Later, Dr. Samoon distributed Appreciation Certificates among outstanding faculty staff and meritorious students.
