BJP committed to the welfare of marginalized segments, refugees: Slathia

SAMBA: BJP Pradesh Vice President and former minister Surjeet Singh Slathia today reiterated his party’s commitment to the welfare of all segments of the society, especially the marginalized people and the refugees in Jammu and Kashmir.

Interacting with the people during the meetings of the BJP’s Legal, Refugee, and Human Rights Cell at Kathua and Samba, Slathia described the closure of the long spell of discrimination and deprivation of the Refugees following the abrogation of Article 370 as a significant and path-breaking initiative in the past over seven decades, saying that this speaks of the concern of Prime Minister Narendra Modi about their welfare and empowerment.

Slathia, who is also the Prabhari of the BJP’s Legal, Human Rights, and Refugee Cell said the Refugees are now a proud and integral part of J&K’s socio-political milieu after having suffered for decades. He also referred to the sustained efforts being made in resolving the problems of every segment of society, particularly the young professionals, and skilled and unskilled workforce besides the educated unemployed, saying that industrialization and massive investments will open up vistas of opportunities for them.

Slathia said that a strong and vibrant BJP is the answer to the problems faced by the country in general and J&K in particular. He hoped that the rank and file of the party will further intensify their public outreach programme so that the issues confronted by people are identified and taken up at appropriate forums for speedy redressal.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included Rajesh Mahajan, Incharge all the cells, Ved Parkash Sharma Co Incharge, Kashmira Singh President BJP Samba, Gopal Mahajan President BJP Kathua along with other Convenors and Co-Convenor of the Cells Arvind Khajuria, Ishab Sharma, Sarfraz Hamid Rather, Ashok Khajuria, Dewakar Sharma, Vikas, Pankaj Sharma, Kulbir Charak, Shashi Pal Vaid and others.
