Drug-peddler arrested in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police in Baramulla have arrested a drug-peddler and recovered contraband substances from his possession, police spokesman said Thursday.
He said a police party intercepted a suspicious person coming from Narbal towards Mirgund, and apprehended him. During the search, 130 grams of charas-like (cannabis) substance was recovered from his possession, police said while identifying the arrested person as Mohammad Rafiq Mir, son of Mohammad Amin Mir, resident of Panzinara Srinagar.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pattan and an investigation has been initiated.
