Mandeep Kaur asked the PIAs to submit complete details of current and prospective employers where the candidates have been placed and are yet to be placed as well. HIMAYAT Mission shall coordinate with other departments for seeking different trade opportunities in various sectors required for the youth of J&K, she maintained.

Pertinently, Himayat is a Skill Development-cum-Placement programme for unemployed youth targeted at school and college dropouts. The focus is on placements of youth in a befitting manner commensurate with their level of education and their aspirations.

Under the umbrella of DDU-GKY, Union Ministry of Rural Development, HIMAYAT Mission has been entrusted with an ambitious mission of training and placing candidates from across the UT through the Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs).

Earlier, Chief Operating Officer HIMAYAT briefed about the performance and ongoing activities of the PIAs.
