Researches strongly suggest that volunteering creates social gain which leads to more interaction, engagement, and trust- all significantly impact a person’s mental health. We should never think we are too small to contribute. What matters is the contribution be it a small or a big one

There are realistic and unrealistic demands of life and it has added to the increased stress of humans. Every religion approves the power of meditation. Meditation can easily improve moods and reduce our stress. It can also lessen anxiety even increase our decision-making abilities and self-control. Some of the research studies have revealed the effectiveness of mindfulness meditation in adolescence. There are other studies that have revealed how meditation helped students perform better academically. Meditation can be incredibly beneficial in many aspects of children’s lives.

We must also not panic unnecessarily rather be realistic in life. Life is too short and we have made it very complicated. Being realistic about our future and making sound decisions based on evidence can bring a sense of wellbeing. We can be a critique as it is important towards perfection. But we must avoid being negative as it will hamper any good intentions of others. We need to develop a positive attitude as it will open our mind to new possibilities and it makes us more resilient.

Does volunteering make us happier, or are happier people more likely to volunteer?  The answer is simply ‘yes’ to this question. It’s no secret that being around other people is more fun than being alone. Social relationships are a biggest contributor for a person’s overall state of happiness. Researches strongly suggest that volunteering creates social gain which leads to more interaction, engagement, and trust which all significantly impact a person’s mental health. We should never think we are too small to contribute. What matters is the contribution be it a small or a big one. Researches have also observed that the quality of our relationships is the important predictor of our happiness—more so than success, wealth, status or fame. There is a need to strengthen our relationships. We must prioritize our relationships to set the foundation of a happy and healthy life.

It is not that easy to maintain confidence, because it can be crushed at any moment. But we need to work hard on improving our self-confidence if we want to be the leaders that everyone looks up to. With confidence, we’re able to achieve flow, the magical feeling and be able to achieve our goals easily. We need to be conscientious as it is often linked to success and productivity. We must try to be consistent, more punctual, being more organized and thoughtful of others.

There is a serious concern as our children are using smartphones limitlessly. They are becoming addictive to smartphones.  I remember the golden days back when life was without a smartphone and how greatly we enjoyed our life.   The problem is more serious when we as adults also use our phones without limits. This technology is affecting our growth and development when there is its usage without limits. Some of the serious issues that are being witnessed now are communication issues, unresponsiveness, behavioral problems, and addiction, sleep disturbances, eye problems etc. There should be higher motivations for outdoor games. Play is an important source of relaxation. In addition, it can make us more creative and productive. Experts are suggesting spending time together with our kids, keeping Smart Phones as the last priority and activity-based learning and others as some of the remedial measures to make life of our children healthy and happy.

Our nature is too beautiful and must be explored at its fullest. Spending time in nature can produce wonders. It makes us happier and boosts our immune system. It even can add to our creativity and productivity. We must resolve that this year we’ll be spending more time outside rather than sitting dull inside the offices and the houses. But we must also find good ways and measures to protect, promote and preserve our rich nature.
