Dr. Farooq cautions people against forces inimical to J&K’s unique identity

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and MP from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah, and Vice President Omar Abdullah have expressed profound anguish over a massive fire incident in Dangarpora, Anantnag in which around 13 houses and around ten shops were gutted.

Expressing sympathies with the affected families and traders, Dr. Farooq said, “I’m extremely saddened by the devastating inferno that has reduced several houses and shops to ashes in the Dangerpora area of Anantnag Constituency. It is imperative for the administration to reach out to the affected with timely relief and compensation. The district administration should also distribute free monthly rations consisting of rice, sugar, and other necessary items to the affected families. They should also be provided with subsidized building raw material, warm thermal wear, and blankets.”

Sharing the grief of the affected traders and families, Omar said, “I’m extremely anguished by the fire tragedy in Dangar Pora area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district in which 13 houses and around ten shops were gutted. My thoughts and prayers are with the affected. I urge the local authorities to provide all possible assistance to those affected.”

Among others, General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, MP Hasnain Masoodi, South Zone President Dr. Bashir Ahmed Veeri, District President Anantnag Altaf Ahmed Wani, Peer Mohammad Hussain have also expressed sympathies with the affected families and prayed for their swift revival.
