Police said these drug-peddlers were involved in six NDPS cases registered in various police stations of the district and were promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Budgam. Despite their involvement in many FIRs, these drug-peddlers did not mend their activities, police said.

Their cases were processed and sanctions were obtained from the competent authority against the arrested drug-peddlers for detention under Public Safety Act (PSA), following which they have been lodged in District Jail Rajouri, police said.
