Jammu: To further strengthen the party at the grassroots, Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) chief and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday appointed Sukhvinder Singh as additional general secretary of the party.
Mehbooba Mufti, who was in Jammu, appointed Sukhvinder Singh as additional general secretary of the party in the presence of senior vice president Haji Abdul Hamid Choudhary, A S Reen, Rashid Malik, Harmesh Singh Salathia, Rajinder Manhas, Satpal Singh Charak and Sunil Bhat.
While appointing Sukhvinder Singh as the additional general secretary, Mehbooba Mufti hoped that he will work with more energy and dedication to further expand the party in the rural areas of Jammu province.
Sukhvinder Singh, a veteran trade union leader is one of the founder members of the PDP. He was associated with the late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed from the days of Janta Dal. Presently is the treasure of the People’s Democratic Party.
