Exhibition, awareness camp for artisans, weavers held at Shahr-e-Khaas

SRINAGAR: On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, an Exhibition cum Awareness Camp for Artisans and Weavers of Shahr-e-Khaas was today held at Marriage Hall Near Makhdoom Sahib Shrine here.

The awareness camp was organized by Assistant Director Handicrafts and Handloom Srinagar, Zahid Rashid in which a large number of Artisans and weavers of Shahr-e-Khaas participated.

On the occasion, the participants were apprised about various Government schemes being implemented for the welfare and overall socio-economic development of the Artisans and Weavers.

During the programme, Authority letters for participation in the Exhibition were distributed and various Artisans/Weavers were registered with the Department so that they are able to take advantage of various Government schemes.

Among others, Lead District Officer JKBank, Manager Cluster 2nd JKBank Zoonimar, Manager JK Bank Islamia College Hawal and Chief Designer School of Design also participated and sensitized the participants regarding various schemes.
