JAMMU: Secretary Mining, Amit Sharma who is mentoring Smailpur Panchayat under B2V4 Programme today conducted a review meeting-cum-grievance redressal camp at Panchayat Ghar, Smailpur in Bari Brahmana Block of the district and took an on-the-spot assessment of grievances and issues raised by the public there.
During the meeting, the Secretary held a detailed review of the progress of the decisions arrived at in the last B2V4 meeting. During the meeting, he gave on-the-spot directions to officers of different departments regarding the timely resolution of grievances raised by the residents of the Panchayat.
Later, during the grievance redressal camp, Amit Sharma cautioned the public against the re-emergence of the Covid threat and told them to take the best precautionary measures especially following social distancing norms and using masks in crowded places. Further, he also advised them to avail all public services online through mode with the help of CSC Centres and directly avail services of all departments without visiting Government offices.
The Secretary also asked them to submit RAS feedback after availing of these services.
During the camp, the Secretary listened to fresh grievances and issues of the public relating to PHE, PDD, Rural Development, Agriculture and Youth Services, and Sports. He directed the officers to redress these issues in a time-bound manner.
During the interaction with the public, Amit assured them that these Public Outreach Programmes shall be a regular feature from now onwards.
The Panchayat members on the occasion expressed deep gratitude towards the Prabhari officer for ensuring the initiation of long pending Drainage Work.
Sarpanch, Smailpur Panchayat, Panches of the Panchayat, Block Development Officer Bari Brahmana ZEO Purmandal, ZEPO Purmandal, BMO, large gathering of local residents, and other officers of the block participated in the camp.
