PDP vows to highlight people’s issues rigorously

Jammu: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday asked party workers to reach out to the masses at the village level to solve their problems.

The party observed that the woes of the common masses are compounding with every passing day due to the casual approach of the BJP-controlled administration in Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a meeting of the senior workers of the party, general secretary of PDP Amreek Singh Reen said that J&K is plunged into unprecedented crises due to policies being pursued by the BJP-controlled administration.

“The incumbent administration has become synonymous with chaos and uncertainty and J&K has plunged into unprecedented crisis and the regime has lost its credibility,” he said.

“Apart from political uncertainty, the J&K is also suffering from the governance crisis due to the approach of the present regime,” he said while pointing towards the failure of the present regime on all fronts.

Reen said that unemployed educated youth are the worst victim of the prevailing bankruptcy in J&K because the government has failed to create job avenues for unemployed youth.

PDP general secretary pointed out that four selection lists have been canceled by the authorities during the last four months which is a clear indication of the institutionalization of corruption. “Whooping amount spent to cheap publicity and misused on unproductive sectors could have been utilized properly to provide jobs to the unemployed youth,” he argued.

It was decided in the meeting that the party would set up its village-level units.
