Vyeth Publishing House in collab with IIPC organizes literary event at GDC Sopore

Sopore: Vyeth Publishing House in collaboration with Iqbal Institute of Culture & Philosophy (IIPC) on Sunday organized a daylong literary event “Peer-o-Mureed: Rumi and Iqbal” at Government Degree College (GDC) Sopore.

In his presidential address, Director IIPC, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie, said that the writings of Moulana Rumi and Allama Iqbal are universal and transcend all boundaries. “Academics and scholars have a responsibility to spread this message amongst young students so that they are able to delve deep into the vision of these great personalities who have left a great impression on countless scholars across the world,” he said.

Dr. Riyaz Tawheedi, Dr. Nasir Azim and other dignitaries participated in the event as guests of honour with Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie as chief guest. 

Also, a book, “The God theory of the universe” authored by Suhail Ibn Shanawaz was released, which was attended by noted literary personalities and many poets from all over Kashmir.

Sufeena gave the inaugural address and highlighted the works and achievements of the publishing house in 2022. “Students must learn new things, read poets like RUMI & Iqbal,” she said.

The event was attended by scholars and academicians from different parts of the valley.
