Hajin: A four-year-old girl died after drowning in river Jhelum in Banyari village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday.
Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported that the girl identified as Zehrish Tariq, daughter of Tariq Ahmad Dar of Jadalpora Banyari, drowned in the river.
He said after completing medico-legal formalities, the body was handed over to her family for last rites.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.
