Youth uncertain about future amid increasing unemployment in J&K: Ghulam Hassan Mir

JAMMU: Apni Party Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir today said the increasing unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir has worried youth about an uncertain future which needs to be addressed in a planned manner to bring them on the right track.

A press release issued here said that while addressing a provincial level youth wing meeting at Gandhi Nagar office of the party, Ghulam Hassan Mir said that “The rise in unemployment in J&K is a serious cause of concern for all of us and the youth have become unnerved with the situation and it needs to be addressed by the Govt.”

He said that “At the moment is to bring peace first and then the investment will come to J&K so that ample employment opportunities can be generated. J&K has huge potential to generate employment but that needs to have planning and strategy.”

Asking the youth wing to work among the youth of J&K in every nook and corner, he directed the young leaders to inform the youth about the policies of Apni Party.

“We are focused on bringing peace and prosperity and a bright future for the people who have faced a dark past due to the wrong policies. There is a need to adopt a unique and cordial approach towards the youth issues,” he said.

He further said that “Youth have a responsibility to contribute in nation building and strengthen J&K. This can be possible with a popular Govt. Hence, holding of early assembly elections is a must and restoration of the Statehood.”

He appealed to the youth to play a positive role in nation building and the Apni Party is committed to bring them on the right path.

“We are against the elements who misled the youth. We want a bright future for the youth of J&K and it would be possible with peace and prosperity,” he added.

Meanwhile, State General Secretary, Vijay Bakaya also spoke on the occasion and directed the youth leaders to address the issues being faced by the young generation.

The meeting was also attended by Additional General Secretary, Arun Chibber, Provincial President, Jammu Urban District President, Dr Rohit Gupta, State General Secretary Youth Wing, Abhay Bakaya besides others.
