Samoon inaugurates Academic Block, Workshop building at GPC, ITI Doda

DODA: Principal Secretary Skill Development Department (SDD), Dr AsgarSamoon today visited Government Polytechnic College (GPC) Doda and ITI Doda and interacted with students, faculty and trainees here.

The Principal Secretary was accompanied By District Development Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan; Director SDD, Sudershan Kumar; Senior superintendent of Police, Abdul Qayoom; Financial Advisor Yasir Rather and other district officers of various departments.

During the visit, Dr Samoon extensively inspected the college premises and other infrastructure.

Dr Samoon on the occasion inaugurated different buildings / workshop at Government Polytechnic/ ITIs. He also inaugurated Academic Block at Government Polytechnic College Beoli Doda and Administrative Block at ITI Doda and distributed certificates among students.

Dr Samoon appreciated Superintendent ITI Doda for satisfactory functioning and development of the Institute. Dr Samoon while interacting with trainees wished them good luck for their future endeavours. He stressed on imparting quality training and the need for self employment which would eventually make the young population self reliant and able to earn their own livelihood. He also assured the students that transport facility will be provided to different areas.
